Nokia X5, C5 TD-CDMA phones launched

Nokia has formally announced two new TD-CDMA network supporting handsets - Nokia X5 and C5. Both these handsets would be available exclusively via China Mobile in China. Subscribers will see first ever joint App Store: Mobile Market-Ovi Store. However, this TD-CDMA based Nokia X5 leaves us puzzled with the information leaked about Nokia X5 series handset two days back. China's market will get to see Nokia X5 in second quarter of 2010 while C5 will arrive in third quarter of 2010.

Nokia X5 is meant for music lovers, sports 3.5mm jack and is Symbain OS based TD-CDMA device. This handset has 2.4-inch QVGA display, a dedicated music key and easy access to CMCC music. Loaded with 5 megapixel camera with dual LED Flash, the X5 also offers video recording functions. The X5 will also have GPS and mobile map/navigation along with stereo Bluetooth, Fetion IM and microSD card support. This mobile would be available in black, white and red colors.

While the Nokia C5 too has 2.4-inch QVGA TFT display with 5.0 megapixel camera. It also has a VGA camera in front panel for video calling. This handset also supports microSD card, has stereo Bluetooth and features 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia has used stainless steel keypad so if you have loose change in your pocket, it will keep clinking.

We must not miss out on the fact that Nokia X5 was listed for GSM and WCDMA both so it's possible we see a GSM version too. We aren't sure if Nokia has any plans to introduce either of these devices to other countries as of now.
