As we draw nearer to AMD's HD6900 (Cayman) launch date, Nvidia is pulling out all the stops by quickly releasing refreshes of the older Fermi cards that bombed. After the GTX 580 we now learn there's a GTX 570 on the horizon that would be replacing the GTX 470.
This upcoming GPU is based on the new GF110 core and packs in 480 CUDA cores (shaders), 320-bit wide memory bus, 1.28GB of GDDR5 memory. The clock speeds are as follows; Core speed is 732MHz, 1464MHz for the shader and 3800MHz effective for the memory. The power consumption is rated at 225W.
We can expect an official announcement on the December 7 from Nvidia. Let the games begin.
